The MENTORING program: Orientation and empowerment through experienced mentors.

Are you looking for a new job or do you want to develop your career? Do you need the support of someone with professional experience?

Then the mentoring program in the Spinnen-Netz is just right for you.

In the Spinnen-Netz, professionally experienced members and network partners are ready to accompany you as mentors. They have been working for NGOs, foundations, the GIZ or in science for several years - often in senior or executive positions.

Mentoring is also very helpful to get more orientation about the non-profit sector and different NGOs and the corresponding entry opportunities.

For all those who want to participate as a mentor in this program, a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience is required as a guideline. As a thank you, mentors receive our MitWirkerBonus. Your membership fee is reduced by half. Please fill out the application form for mentors and mail it to our office.

What does the mentoring program in the Spinnen-Netz look like?

For individual support in the professional orientation and entry phase, the Spinnen-Netz offers ongoing 1:1 mentoring: This means that you can join at any time.

The mentor and the mentee exchange ideas for 9-12 months on the topics and goals of the mentee. Like a sponsor, the mentor plays a supporting, advising and reflecting role. In personal conversations, the mentee can address issues with the mentor that concern him or her with regard to studies, doctoral studies or professional development. The tandem thus primarily offers an exchange of experiences in order to gain suitable career entry strategies, insights into professionally relevant networks and current thematic discourses.

Kosten: Als Mentee fällt eine einmalige Aufwandspauschale für die Vermittlung des Mentoringstandems von 90€ (zzgl. 19% MwSt) an. Anmeldung für Mentees hier. 

Matching: Please understand that it can take 4-8 weeks from your request to the search to the fit of a mentoring tandem. Sometimes it doesn't fit exactly in terms of subject matter or region, but then it helps if you are spatially and thematically flexible. This makes it easier for us to find the right match for you. Currently, the mentoring tandems meet digitally, so that it is also possible to search across regions.

Costs: As a mentee, there is a one-time fee of 90€ (plus 19% VAT) for the arrangement of the mentoring tandem. Registration for mentees here.
